A shooting at a popular bar in The Woodlands early Sunday morning left three people injured, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded shortly after midnight to reports of gunfire at Goose’s Acre. Upon arrival, they found two men, ages 31 and 29, and a 27-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds. Witnesses at the scene provided immediate medical assistance before all three victims were transported to local hospitals. Their current conditions have not been disclosed.
Authorities identified the suspected shooter as a 27-year-old man from Houston. He was also taken to the hospital, though not for gunshot wounds. Officials stated that bar patrons detained the suspect before law enforcement arrived, resulting in injuries during the altercation.
The suspect is now in custody as investigators work to determine the circumstances leading up to the shooting. Officials have not yet released the identities of those involved.
“We want to reassure the public that we are fully committed to maintaining safety and holding the suspect accountable,” the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
