Houston Police are searching for a driver accused of fatally striking a bicyclist in a hit-and-run crash on Saturday night.
Authorities responded to the scene at 10229 Jensen Street around 9:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a man found injured in the roadway.
The victim is believed to be a man between 60 and 70 years old, according to officials. Witnesses told police they saw a person lying in the street and another vehicle swerving to avoid him, but they did not witness the actual collision.
Bystanders attempted CPR on the victim until Houston Fire Department personnel arrived. He was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police have not yet released a description of the suspect’s vehicle. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to identify the driver responsible.
