After a day of thunderstorms, strong winds, and a rare Red Flag Warning, Houston is set to experience calmer weather starting Wednesday.

Wednesday’s ForecastLooking Ahead

On Tuesday, the region saw wind gusts reaching 40-50 mph, leading to dry conditions that contributed to grass fires in areas like San Antonio. This front not only brought gusty winds but also scattered rain and thunderstorms across parts of the region.

Wednesday’s Forecast

Houston can expect a return to sunshine and more stable conditions. High temperatures will reach the 60s, but a cold front will bring a chilly start to the morning, with lows in the mid-40s. Northwest winds will range between 10-15 mph, making for a crisp but pleasant day.

Looking Ahead

Following Tuesday’s cold front, temperatures will remain seasonable for the next couple of days before another warm-up ahead of a new cold front expected on Saturday.

As a reminder, Daylight Saving Time begins early Sunday morning at 2 a.m., meaning clocks will “spring forward,” resulting in the loss of one hour of sleep.
