Hewlett Packard Enterprise has announced plans to lay off approximately 5% of its global workforce over the next 12 to 18 months. This move will impact around 2,500 employees as part of a broader effort to streamline operations and improve financial stability.
The company stated that the layoffs are intended to better align its cost structure with its business strategy and long-term goals, with a target of saving at least $350 million by fiscal year 2027.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise, which moved its headquarters from California to Spring, Texas, in 2020, currently employs over 2,000 people in the Houston area. However, it has not disclosed how many local jobs will be affected by the workforce reduction.
These cost-cutting measures reflect the company’s efforts to optimize resources and adapt to changing market conditions.
