A man is in custody after crashing into a law enforcement vehicle while allegedly driving under the influence in Humble.
The incident occurred on Tuesday when the driver of a dark blue BMW sedan struck a Harris County Precinct 4 patrol SUV. The impact caused the front left wheel of the law enforcement vehicle to detach. Instead of stopping, the driver fled the scene but was located shortly after by authorities.
Upon investigation, officers determined that the driver was impaired. He was taken into custody and charged with driving while intoxicated.
Fortunately, both the constable corporal inside the SUV and the suspect were not injured in the incident.
