A house fire in Fort Worth on Thursday claimed one life and left two others injured, according to officials.

What Happened

The fire broke out around noon in the 6100 block of Tilapia Drive, near ED Willkie Middle School.

Images from the scene showed firefighters and paramedics responding to the incident. While the home did not appear to have significant external damage, Fort Worth police confirmed that one person died and two others sustained minor injuries, receiving treatment at the scene.

Ongoing Investigation

Authorities identified the deceased victim as a woman but have not released further details.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
