Authorities are actively searching for a man accused of shooting his father-in-law multiple times in southeast Houston following an argument.
The incident took place on March 1 around 8 p.m. at a residence near Cullen Boulevard and Airport Boulevard in the Sunnyside neighborhood. According to preliminary details from law enforcement, the dispute began between 36-year-old Denzel Jamell Nixson and his wife, with whom he shares four children.
Fearing the situation would escalate, Nixson’s wife called her 67-year-old father for assistance. When he arrived, Nixson allegedly shot him three times, striking him in the stomach, arm, and leg.
Emergency responders, including Houston police and fire personnel, arrived at the scene and transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he underwent surgery. His condition has since been reported as stable.
